Free Procreate Brushes
Updated: Jul 23
If you LOVE Procreate, don't miss this freebie!
If I could only paint with 3 brushes for the rest of my life, it would be these!
🖌️ Willow Charcoal StreamLine
All my character line art is sketched with my custom-made Willow Charcoal StreamLine brush. (And I’ve heard reports that it’s become other artists’ favorite, too!)
I love it for its smooth, buttery quality…🧈 Okay, maybe that description is a bit much. 😂But, it’s smooth and a MUST for my lineart.

🖌️ Soft Pastel Smudge
I love the Soft Pastel brush that’s built into Procreate, however, in my set I’ve modified it a bit and made it bigger. I find it’s perfect for smooth blends on portraits. (When painting the skin, for soft transitions of value, and even in softening the edges between the background and your subject.)
Important tip: I use it with the Smudge Tool (not the brush tool.) I love it. 😍
I used the Smudge Tool with the Soft Pastel brush a ton here. ⬇️
🖌️ 6B Pencil
And then there’s the 6B Pencil brush.✏️ This was a brush that I looooved back in the earlier days of Procreate. In more recent versions of Procreate, the brush changed. 😭 However, after hours of tinkering with settings (and I mean hours!) I’ve got something close to the original 6B Pencil. :)) I love this brush for starting portrait paintings. I also love it for creating loose, painterly works. It’s great on its side (for thick marks) and putting it more upright, using the tip of the pencil (for thin lines.)
This painting was made with the OG 6B. But this brush I’ve modified works as close as I can get it! ⬇️
I could go on and on about all 17 brushes in the set, but enough from me. Try them out for yourself!
